Kim Hummel Photography recently had the opportunity to connect with the talented Adam Ollendorff for a few days of photography fun. For my co-worker Ashley and me, that meant taking on Nashville.... and we were excited! I'm pretty certain we covered Nashville and the surrounding areas a hundred times pulling the pieces together for our shoot. It was certainly all work and no play, we couldn't be happier with the results. And, WE LOVE NASHVILLE, although I must admit, the surrounding suburbs/cities stole our hearts with their kindness and rustic edge. 

Don't know him from Adam? Adam Ollendorff is an Ivy Leaug-er turned rock star. A Nashville-based producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Adam has performed with musical greats such as Vince Gill, Dan Wilson (Adele, The Dixie Chicks), Shinedown,  Needtobreathe, Dierks Bently, Del McCoury, Dan Baird (The Georgia Satellites) and is currently touring with Will Hoge (and Hoge's touring band).

Photo Shoot with Robert Karlsson

If you know me, you know how much I love location, people photography. What you may not know is that I've had an on and off love affair with golf throughout the past several years. I found myself back in love after attending my first professional tournament two years ago. You can then imagine, it's a good day when I pick up the phone and am asked if I have time to squeeze in a photo shoot of a professional golfer at Quail Hollow Country Club. I had the pleasure of meeting and working with both Clay Smith of SmithGoup LTD and Robert Karlsson on a scorching spring day last week. With his new Adams Golf gear in tow, Robert is competing in the revered Masters Golf Tournament currently taking place at the Augusta National Golf Club. Our team here at Kim Hummel Photography wishes Robert the best of luck this season.

All Bundled Up And Waiting On Winter

Groundhog Phil has made his forecast, six more weeks of winter. Despite the sighting of his mighty shadow, the warmth of spring continues to dance around us here at Kim Hummel Photography. Trees are showing off in full bloom, bulbs are peeking up to see what's going on while our photography team is buzzing around in t-shirts with wool in the wings. Could it be we can shelf our fuzzy hats and warm winter coats until next year? According to folklore, don't even think about it.

Dear Severely Neglected Blog, Olive Yew!

What a great way for Kim Hummel Photography to kick off the New Year! A great friend, delicious sushi, tons of beautiful jewelry, an adorable kitty and a camera. Are you curious yet? We recently enjoyed an afternoon on an oh-so-fun photo shoot with the creator and owner of Olive Yew. Angela Parker-Kennedy has a vision of creating simple, elegant jewelry. Her relentless drive led to putting her corporate world on the shelf in order to pursue her more "art" filled business. We can definitely see what all the fuss is about. THE BACK SIDE

Wow!  Another month has blown by so quickly. I've noticed that my website, blog, face book, etc. are lacking bio information. I think my images probably describe me better than I will ever accomplish writing. So why stop? 

I have a few activities that I really love to immerse myself with when not working. One of them.... gardening. This is the view often seen by my neighbors. I'm sure they enjoy the fruits of my efforts much more than the sights.

King of the Grill

The 4th of July is upon us and Irwin is gearing up for America's holiday. When Kim Hummel Photography caught up with him last week, decorations were up, fireworks were purchased and there was a round of hotdogs and hamburgers already on the grill. This weekend's festivities are sure to be memorable, and we hope yours is too! So fire up the grill and eat to your heart's content, light your fireworks with care, and please protect yourself from too much sun. Make sure you don't burn those buns!
